A few users noticed a rather peculiar audio quality issue in the AudioNodes desktop app in Windows 10.
Compared to AudioNodes Online, audio appeared to be slightly less clear, somewhat muffled on very low and very high frequencies, as well as with a slight reduction of spatialization (audio sounded “halfway between stereo and mono”).
After some investigation, it turned out the Spatial Sound feature of Windows 10 affects the AudioNodes desktop app differently from end-user browsers (and thus AudioNodes Online), causing the noticeable difference in audio. The most audible difference seems to be caused by using Windows Sonic for Headphones.
Disable Spatial Sound.
