Grid Settings
The grid helps align notes to musical subdivisions:
- Grid Size: Number of subdivisions per beat (1-32)
- 1 = whole notes
- 2 = half notes
- 4 = quarter notes (default)
- 8 = eighth notes
- 16 = sixteenth notes
- etc.
- Snap to Grid: Toggle whether notes automatically snap to grid divisions
- When enabled, notes align to the grid when moved or created
- Hold Shift while dragging to temporarily disable snapping
- Record Grid Subsize: Additional subdivisions used only during recording (1-32)
- Allows finer quantization during live recording
- Does not affect manual note placement
Grid Snapping Behavior
- During Note Creation: New notes snap to the grid (unless Shift is held)
- During Note Movement: Notes snap to the nearest grid division when released
- During Note Resizing: Note start and end times snap to grid divisions
- Snap Radius: Notes within a certain distance of a grid line will snap to it
- Visual Feedback: Grid lines are displayed to show available snap positions
