Manual Velocity Editing
- Velocity Editor: Located in the bottom panel of the editor
- Drag Vertically: Drag velocity handles up or down to change note velocity
- Visual Feedback: Velocity is represented by the height of the velocity bar
- Range: Velocity values range from 0.0 (silent) to 1.0 (maximum)
Velocity Editing Precision
Controls the precision of velocity adjustments:
- Precision Levels: 0 (coarse) to higher values (fine)
- Higher precision allows for more subtle velocity changes
- Useful for creating smooth velocity curves or fine-tuning dynamics
Randomize Velocity
Assigns random velocity values to selected notes within a specified range.
- Velocity Min/Max: Defines the minimum and maximum velocity values for randomization
- Values range from 0.0 to 1.0
- Default: Min = 0.0, Max = 1.0
- Use Case: Adds humanization and variation to note velocities
- Only affects selected notes
Velocity Display
- Notes with zero velocity are displayed with a distinct color
- Velocity values are shown in tooltips when hovering over velocity handles
- The velocity editor provides a visual representation of all note velocities
