Main & UI Settings
Optimize UI for
Sets the interaction mode to Mouse or Touch. Touch mode enlarges hit areas and adjusts controls for finger input.
Contrast
Controls the UI contrast level, from 0% to 100%.
Notify about missing audio destination
When enabled, shows a warning if the project has no audio destination node connected.
Notify about unsaved changes
When enabled, prompts before closing or navigating away when there are unsaved changes.
Visualize constant folding
When enabled, highlights nodes whose outputs are computed statically rather than per-sample.
Audio Settings
Sample rate
Sets the audio output sample rate in Hz. Available values: 8000, 16000, 22050, 32000, 44100, 48000, 96000 Hz. Requires a restart to take effect.
Global volume
Controls the master output volume, from 10% to 100%.
Buffer size
Controls the audio output buffer size in milliseconds, from 0 to 100 ms. A larger value reduces the chance of audio glitches but increases latency. Values of 50 ms or higher may reduce audio visualization refresh rate. Requires a restart to take effect.
Plugin buffer size
Sets the internal processing buffer size for VST plugins, in samples. Available values: 128, 256, 512, 1024, 2048, 4096. A larger value improves stability at the cost of increased latency. Requires a restart to take effect.
Timeline Settings
When dragging Clips
Controls what happens when a clip is dragged over another clip on the same track. Allow overlapping lets clips stack freely. Cut next clip(s) trims or removes clips in the way.
Snap repeat to marker
When enabled, the repeat region snaps to the nearest marker when moved or resized.
Notation & Scales Settings
Notation
Sets whether notes are displayed using Sharp (e.g. F#) or Flat (e.g. Gb) accidentals.
Note Pitch Display Mode
Controls how note pitches are labelled. Notation shows standard note names (e.g. C4). MIDI Code shows the raw MIDI number (e.g. 60).
Base Note
Sets the root note of the current scale, used as the reference for scale degree calculations.
Scales
Selects a scale to apply globally. Restricts the playable notes in melody editors and MIDI-related nodes to the chosen scale’s intervals.
Scaled Notes Keyboard
An interactive keyboard showing which notes are included in the current scale. Click notes to toggle them when in custom scale mode.
Display Settings
Middle C
Sets which octave convention to use for middle C: C3, C4, or C5. Affects how note names are displayed throughout the app.
Default connection type
Sets the default shape used when drawing new connections between nodes.
Envelope snap grid size (beats)
Sets the grid size used when snapping control points in envelope editors, in beats. Preset options: 1, 1/2, 1/4, 1/8, 1/16. Select Custom to enter an arbitrary value.
Custom grid size (beats)
Sets a custom envelope snap grid size in beats, from 0.001 to 64. Only visible when Custom is selected above.
Snap-to-grid radius
Controls how close (in pixels) a dragged element must be to a grid line before it snaps, from 1 to 200 pixels.
Enable experimental features
When enabled, activates features that are still in development and may change or be removed in future versions.
Current Project Settings
Duration (in beats)
Sets the total project length in beats. A helper text shows the equivalent wall-clock time at the current BPM.
BPM
Sets the project tempo in beats per minute, from 1 to 400.
Time signature
Sets the project time signature as a beats-per-bar / note-value pair (e.g. 4/4).
File save mode
Controls where the project file is saved by default. Ask when saving prompts each time. Other options save to a fixed location automatically. Only available in the desktop app.
Misc. Settings
Reset Tutorials & Tips
